It is indeed a miraculous and heartwarming story to hear about a dog a ᴛʀᴀᴜᴍᴀᴛɪᴄ such as being with an arrow. The resilience and determination of dogs to overcome ᴀᴅᴠᴇʀsɪᴛʏ are truly remarkable.
Stacee Gomez got a ᴛᴇʀʀɪʙʟᴇ when visiting her father and spotted his dog Boomer with an arrow ᴘʀᴏᴛʀᴜᴅɪɴɢ from his ʜᴇᴀᴅ. Just moments before, Stacee noticed Boomer playing happily in the yard of their Devine, Texas home soon after she heard her parents’ other dog Lola ʙᴀʀᴋɪɴɢ in a ᴘᴀɴɪᴄ.
That’s When She Saw Boomer Through The Window On The Porch
“I and sᴄʀᴇᴀᴍᴇᴅ. Then my dad just came running, and I just told him, ‘Dad, he has an arrow in his ʜᴇᴀᴅ!’” Stacee told KENS5 News.
The family immediately called the ’ office and drove Boomer to the animal hospital. The vet told them that Boomer was fortunate as the arrow had ʀɪᴄᴏᴄʜᴇᴛᴇᴅ off his sᴋᴜʟʟ and gone straight through to the other side. It had, however, his ᴏʀʙɪᴛᴀʟ ʙᴏɴᴇ and ɴᴀsᴀʟ ᴄᴀᴠɪᴛʏ.
“Had it ᴘɪᴇʀᴄᴇᴅ his sᴋᴜʟʟ, it probably would have him instantly,” said Stacee.
ʀᴇᴍᴏᴠᴇᴅ the arrow, but Boomer has a long recovery ahead of him. He will also have to ʀᴇᴛɪʀᴇ from because of the to his ɴᴏsᴇ. Boomer was a Christmas gift from Stacee and her siblings to her father.
The Medina County is ɪɴᴠᴇsᴛɪɢᴀᴛɪɴɢ and planning to review the arrow for ᴇᴠɪᴅᴇɴᴄᴇ. Further information on the ɪɴᴠᴇsᴛɪɢᴀᴛɪᴏɴ is not currently available.
The family opened a GoFundMe online to raise money for Boomer’s medical bills. She updated everyone that “Boomer is back home recovering.”

He’s adjusting to his cone (he’s not a fan ʟᴏʟ). He’s been so strong through this whole ᴏʀᴅᴇᴀʟ. And we are AMAZED that he was able to Come home and start his recovery.”
“We did not expect this to ʙʟᴏᴡ up the way it did, but we are so glad to let you know that it helped us start an ɪɴᴠᴇsᴛɪɢᴀᴛɪᴏɴ to bring to light the person that did this to Boomer and to cover ALL of Boomer’s medical bills,” she continued. “We can’t thank you, guys, enough.”
