Five-year-old Rocky was stolen by an unknown man after he was left tied up outside a Yarraville supermarket about 5pm yesterday.

Owner Mira and her family were left feeling “devastated” and spent much of the night searching for Rocky.

“My sister went to the shops to get some stuff yesterday. She was in there for 10 minutes and tied Rocky up outside,” Mira said.

“When she walked out and he was missing. She was distraught. We searched and searched until we saw security footage and he had been stolen.

“Everyone was looking around, but really it was very difficult last night.”

But that all changed when Mira received a call this morning after Jarrod Brown found the poodle tied up outside the local vet.
“We have (our dog) Maverick here and if we were in that situation it would have been bad so we got pretty emotional,” he said.

Mira said it was an amazing feeling to hold Rocky in her arms again.

“With raced over to him and started crying,” she said.

“The people who found him were crying. They had seen it on Facebook and it was amazing.”

Police are investigating and still searching for the person who stole Rocky.
